Harvesting Management for Grapes

1. Irrigation to field must be cut to half to make outer surface of fruit hard and it also will increase sugar level in fruit. (if maturity is 5-10 days away)
2. Harvesting should be done in very early mourning from 5:00 am to 7:00 am.
3. Use cool place for grapes grading and packing.
4. For market use 4-5 Kg carton (5 ply) for avoiding transport injuries. (available by me)
5. Try to harvest only that much fruit that you can sale in that day, as its shelf life is very low.
6. Avoid use of water during packing for good looks it will allow fungus to grow and grapes will be giving bad smell when carton will be open in market.
7. Never use a single rotten berry in carton it will effect other healthy bunches as well.
8. If your bunches are very healthy cut them in 2-3 parts while packing to make easy for marketer person to handle.
